Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Wasil Connect application ("the App") operated by Wasil Technologies ("we", "us", "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. About the Service
Wasil Connect is a school communication platform that enables parents, guardians, and school staff to stay connected. The App is provided to you through your child's school, which is the data controller for your information.
2. Eligibility
The App is intended for use by:
- Parents and legal guardians of students enrolled at a participating school
- School staff and administrators authorised by the school
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Access is provided via invitation from your school.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You must provide accurate information when registering.
- You must notify your school immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
When using the App, you agree not to:
- Send abusive, harassing, or inappropriate messages to staff or other users
- Share your login credentials with others
- Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful content
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Use the App for any commercial or non-school-related purpose
- Circumvent any security measures or access controls
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute content from the App without permission
5. Content
- School Content: Messages, events, forms, and other content published by the school remain the property of the school.
- Your Content: Messages, form responses, and other content you submit through the App remain yours, but you grant the school and us a licence to store, display, and process it as necessary to operate the service.
- Confidentiality: Information shared through the App (including other children's names, staff details, and school communications) should be treated as confidential and not shared publicly.
6. Notifications
By using the App, you consent to receive notifications including:
- School announcements and messages
- Emergency alerts
- Event reminders and schedule updates
- Form requests and consultation bookings
You can manage notification preferences in the App under Settings. Emergency alerts cannot be disabled for safety reasons.
7. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
8. Availability
- We aim to keep the App available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
- We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability.
- We are not liable for any loss resulting from temporary unavailability of the service.
9. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, code, and branding are owned by Wasil Technologies. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App without our written permission.
10. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with third-party services (Google Calendar, Google Meet, etc.). Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by your school for the service in the preceding 12 months.
12. Termination
- Your school may terminate your access at any time (e.g., when your child leaves the school).
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
- Upon termination, your access to the App will cease and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.
